More than 300 university students and police in Indonesia's capital were being treated in hospital on Wednesday, a day after violent clashes with police during nationwide protests triggered by a new law that critics say cripples the country's anti-corruption agency.
Jakarta police chief Gatot Eddy Pramono told a news conference that at least 265 students and 39 police officers were treated in several hospitals in the country's capital, with their injuries ranging from minor to serious.
He said police have arrested 94 people allegedly involved in violence.

Iran's president says his country will not negotiate on its nuclear programme as long as United States sanctions remain.
President Hassan Rouhani accused the US of "economic terrorism'' in his address to the United Nations General Assembly.
Instead, Rouhani proposed a regional coalition to police the Straits of Hormuz, where much of the world's oil passes through.

British parliamentarians returned to work on Wednesday, a day after the nation's highest court decreed that Prime Minister Boris Johnson's controversial five-week suspension of parliament was unlawful.
In a unanimous verdict, the 11 justices at the United Kingdom's Supreme Court ruled that Parliament had effectively not been prorogued, upholding the decision by the Scottish court of appeal in Edinburgh on September 11, paving the way for the House of Commons to resume at 11:30am ( 10:30 GMT) on Wednesday.

Seventy four years ago, two nuclear bombs were detonated over Hiroshima and Nagasaki killing tens of thousands of people.
Since then, wherever conflict between major powers rises, so does the threat of nuclear war.
Various treaties have attempted to suppress that threat, yet today there are nearly 14,000 nuclear weapons based around the world.
Thursday marks the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, but it's a goal that looks increasingly less likely.
So is there the political will to abolish these weapons?
